Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended New Year greetings to the people of the state.
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami has extended heartiest New Year 2026 greetings to all the people of the state. In his message released on the eve of the New Year, the Chief Minister wished for the happiness, peace and prosperity of the residents of the state.
In his message, the Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand’s development journey so far has been full of achievements. The state’s development journey presents an inspiring saga of struggle, dedication and progress. The concept of overall and balanced development of Uttarakhand has been inherent in the core of the state movement. To give shape to this sentiment, a remarkable initiative has been taken to write a new saga of development with transparency, public participation and a new work culture.
He said that along with efforts for the overall economic development of the state, the innovative and far-reaching efforts made in promising sectors like the conservation of nature and culture, tourism, farming, horticulture and animal husbandry have given the state a distinct identity in the country. It is the result of our resolutions towards development that today other states of the country are also following the policies and programmes of Uttarakhand.
The Chief Minister said that by internalising Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’, our government has given top priority to public service. Continuous efforts have been made to ensure that government schemes reach every person. Transparent administration, strict action against corruption and quick decisions has been the foundation of our government’s working style.
He said that through historic decisions like the Uniform Civil Code, strong land laws, anti-copying law and law against conversion, justice, discipline, transparency and social harmony have been strengthened in the state. With the trust and co-operation of the revered public, many public welfare schemes have been effectively implemented in the last four years to increase employment and self-employment opportunities for the youth, empower women economically and socially, increase the income of farmers and for the welfare of the poor and underprivileged sections. New dimensions have also been established in the fields of health, education, employment and infrastructure.
The Chief Minister said that the government has not only been successful in determining the direction and condition of planned and rapid development in accordance with public expectations, but has also achieved more success than expected in the implementation of programmes related to state interest in many areas. The effective implementation of development schemes and innovations has been appreciated by NITI Aayog, as a result of which the state has achieved the first position in the country in the Sustainable Development Index.
He said that the organisation of National Games has given a new identity to the state at the national level. The state has also made remarkable progress in the field of investment and industry. MOUs worth Rs 3.56 lakh crore have been signed in the state by domestic and foreign investors, of which grounding of about one lakh crore rupees has been completed. Solid initiatives have also been taken towards encouraging local products and promoting ‘Vocal for Local’.
The Chief Minister said that in this glorious development journey, Uttarakhand has not only made physical progress but has also strengthened its cultural, spiritual and social identity. It is our constant endeavour to lead Uttarakhand further on the path of progress in the coming years. He also wished for the active participation of all the residents in the development of the state.
