Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Swadeshi Sankalp Run.
On the occasion of National Youth Day, Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Swadeshi Sankalp Run at Gandhi Park, Dehradun. On this occasion, the Chief Minister paid floral tributes to the portrait of Swami Vivekananda and bowed to him. He also honoured organisations promoting indigenous products. Chief Minister said that Swami Vivekananda’s message of “Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is reached” will always continue to inspire the youth for a strong foundation of our country.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is moving towards the resolution of a developed nation, and the role of the youth will be decisive in making India developed by the year 2047. He called for making the message of ‘Vocal for Local’ a mass movement. Chief Minister said that campaigns like Startup, Make in India and Skill India must be taken forward together by everyone. Chief Minister made a special appeal to the youth to stay away from drugs, adopt discipline, emphasise education and skill development, and fulfill their duty to the nation.
On this occasion, MLA Shri Khajan Das, Mayor of Dehradun Shri Saurabh Thapliyal, BJP Organisation Secretary Shri Ajey Kumar, party officials and officials of the BJP Yuva Morcha were present.
